(December 11, 2018) – Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa and Spa Resort Casino will celebrate the holiday season with special dining celebrations on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, New Year’s Eve, Monday, December 31, and New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1, 2019. For Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa will present special customized dining menus at Waters Café, the Grand Palms Buffet, and the resort’s award-winning fine dining restaurant The Steakhouse. Spa Resort Casino will offer a special Christmas Day and New Year’s Day feasts in the newly reopened Oasis Buffet and pre fixe menus at The Steakhouse for Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Christmas Day Feast at Oasis Buffet
At Spa Resort Casino’s recently remodeled Oasis Buffet, an assortment of holiday favorites will be available, including duck À la Montmorency, Osso Buco, rotisserie chicken, cornbread stuffing, candied sweet potatoes, Champagne asparagus cream soup, roasted prime rib, and baked ham with a citrus glaze; plus, additional stations serving seafood items such as snow crab legs with cocktail sauce, a pasta station, a Pan Pacific station featuring sesame beef and curry shrimp, a Latin holiday bar serving up classic dishes such as chicken enchiladas and chile relleno, and more. The buffet will also feature an assortment of Christmas desserts, including crème brûlée, cherries jubilee with crepes, and coconut macaroons. Champagne included. Recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence consecutively since 2004, The Steakhouse at Spa Resort Casino will offer a Christmas day special prix fixe menu that begins with guests’ choice of heirloom tomato, arugula and Chevre goat cheese salad, or roasted butternut squash bisque; entrée choices that include petite filet and crab served with Yukon gold whipped mashed potatoes and Béarnaise sauce, half-roasted duck with fingerling potatoes, asparagus spears and Cumberland sauce, and Sole bonne femme served with cranberry wild rice, sautéed spinach and cremini mushrooms finished with a light cream sauce; ending with a Chocolate Reflection for dessert—dark chocolate cake, chocolate mousse and an elegant ganache glaze. The Steakhouse at Spa Resort Casino will also offer a special New Year’s Eve prix fixe menu that begins with guests’ choice of jumbo crab cake, escargot, prime tenderloin beef skewers, or giant shrimp cocktail; followed by choices of lobster bisque or The Steakhouse salad. Entrée choices include prime filet mignon, surf and turf, jumbo shrimp scampi, a New York steak, broiled Chilean sea bass, or herb roasted prime rib. The Oasis Buffet will also offer a special menu on New Year’s Day featuring crab legs and prime rib. The festive Christmas Day three-course menu at Agua Caliente’s bright and comfortable Waters Café will begin with guests’ choice of sweet corn chowder or an ice burg wedge salad with chopped bacon, tomato, Maytag blue cheese, and a creamy balsamic dressing; followed by the choice between grilled angus rib eye steak with mashed potatoes, mushroom bordelaise sauce, and winter vegetables, or baked Scottish sea farm salmon with lemon parsley gremolata, Chardonnay vin blanc, and garlic butter haricot verts; followed by a traditional chocolate yule log cake with agave whipped cream. Agua Caliente’s fine dining experience, The Steakhouse, winner of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence consecutively since 2007, will be offering a three-course menu that begins with guests’ choice of tomato crab bisque and Dungeness crab flakes, or the Steak House Waldorf salad with apples, walnuts, bacon, and celery root; two special entrée selections featuring beef wellington or veal chops beau séjour, which the choice of one interesting side per entrée. New Year’s Eve at Waters Café
Waters Café will offer a three-course New Year’s Eve menu that begins with a Boston Bibb salad featuring crispy smoked bacon, vine ripened tomatoes, Maytag bleu cheese, crispy shaved onions, and a creamy balsamic dressing. As an entrée, guests will enjoy prime rib of beef served with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, and au jus and creamy horseradish. New Year’s Eve at Grand Palms Buffet
The Grand Palms Buffet New Year’s Eve feast will include three inviting food stations offering a selection of soups such as lobster bisque and chicken vegetable minestrone, salads including oven roasted beet salad and southwestern Caesar salad, carving board selections ranging from herbed roasted tom turkey to leg of lamb dijonnaise, and a wood broiled station serving angus beef steaks, smoked beef ribs, and 24 hour brine pork chops. A sauté and roasted bar will feature roasted lemon rosemary chicken and sautéed shrimp and scallop scampi, and a baked and fried area will feature crispy sweet potato fries, baked pepperoni pizza, whipped Yukon potatoes, and pistachio brown sugar crusted large baked brie in a sour dough loaf, plus more. Agua Caliente’s Steakhouse will offer a New Year’s Eve set menu that starts with guests’ choice of an asparagus mimosa salad featuring local farms asparagus, chopped boiled eggs, citrus champagne vinaigrette, crème fraiche, and caviar, or a shrimp and lobster pot pie; followed by entrée selections that include a prime filet lobster Oscar with truffle rosti potato, roasted Cipollini, and hollandaise sauce, or prime rib eye and jumbo stuffed shrimp with crab. Dessert choices include a special NYE layered “Chocolate Opera” featuring vanilla bean gelato, a chocolate cigar, and a trio of berry compote, or a signature warm banana butter cake served with banana de leche gelato, raspberry sauce, and Florentines.
