Fall Fun in Rancho Mirage

Rancho Mirage celebrates the end of another sweltering summer in the desert with lots of special events this October. Here are several things you can do for fall fun in Rancho Mirage:

Take a Tour

While the main event doesn’t take place until February, you can get a sneak peek at all the mid-century modern designs during the Modernism Week Fall Preview from October 18 to 21. Tickets are available now to tour one (or many) of the fabulous homes.

Get Your Groove On

Now in its 8th season, Grooves at the Westin is a not-to-be-missed concert event for music lovers. The three concert series kicks off with Paul Brown, Melissa Manchester, Gregg Karukas and Michael Paulo on October 27.

Improve Your Golf Game

Stop by the Westin daily clinics to practice your golf swing this fall. Choose from the 9 AM basic fundamentals clinic or the 2 PM golf clinic with a focus on a different golf swing every day of the week. Each clinic costs $25 and includes 45 minutes of instruction, a day pass to the driving range and club rental, if needed.

Visit Sunnylands

After a long, hot summer, Sunnylands Center and Gardens has reopened with a calendar full of fun activities. Be sure to visit from November through April to enjoy daily free events, including guided walks, yoga classes and more. In the meantime, you can visit their gardens to paint, sketch or photograph the gorgeous scenery from Wednesday to Sunday.

Stargaze at the Observatory

The desert sky is perfect for stargazing and the Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory invites you to join them on Tuesdays through Saturdays, October 2 to 13, to enjoy the beauty of the night sky. Registration is required.

Treat Yourself to a Spa Day

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Ritz-Carlton Spa is offering the Pink Ultimate Radiance & Renewal Facial the entire month of October for $250 with $25 of each treatment being donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Getaway with a Fall Freebie

Book a two night stay at the Omni Resort and Spa now through February 14 and get a third consecutive night free! Plus, you’ll also get a Fall Savings book with discounts at the spa, golf course, restaurants and more.

Attend a Concert at Agua Caliente

Agua Caliente hosts not one but two must see concerts during October. First, Sting and Shaggy team up for a live show to promote their joint album 44/876, which is full of island-inspired music, on October 12. Then country superstar Toby Keith brings his Should’ve Been a Cowboy XXV tour to The Show on October 27. Tickets to both shows are on sale now.

There is not a better time of year to travel to the desert and Rancho Mirage offers something to do for everyone. Book a stay and get-away!
