Hayman and Summers Moves to Rancho Mirage

I just love how more and more people are perennially coming to appreciate all that Rancho Mirage has to offer. It seems that weekly, if not daily, there are more things to do and see—and places to eat, drink, and shop—in this jewel of a city that lies at the very heart of the Palm Springs Valley.

One of the more recent desert retailers to relocate within our borders is renowned purveyor of elite outdoor furniture and accessories Hayman and Summers. If you ever stepped inside Hayman and Summers when it was based at its previous location on El Paseo, you know that this is no ordinary pool and patio store. No. Not at all. H&S is the only merchant in America where one can find all top six exclusive brands of outdoor furniture under one roof. We’re talking dining, lounging, and shade items from the likes of Les Jardins USA, Brown Jordan, Tuuci, Dedon, Jardin de Ville, and Rausch—objets d’art that are things of beauty as well as functional tables, chairs, loungers, parasols, etc.

As of May 1, the new Hayman and Summers outpost is located at 71-905 Highway 111, Suite A, in Rancho Mirage. “The new location across from The River will not only expose us to an entirely new clientele, it will give us the opportunity to partner on special events with our retail neighbors Lamps Plus and Pirch,” owner Frederic Raffenne tells me. “Then there’s the cachet of being in a city associated with such high-profile unique brands as The Ritz, Desert European Motor Cars, the Kraft Nabisco Challenge, and Sunnylands. Last but not least—actually, most excitingly—the new store will provide us with double the floor space, or some 5900 square feet in which to display our beautiful merchandise.”

Throughout the month of May, Raffenne, store manager Eveleen Farzaneh, and sales director Alex Farzaneh are hosting a move-in sale where merchandise is up to 50% off. If I were you, I’d go bid them a warm welcome. Who knows what treasures are in store for you?
