Splash House

Let’s face it, summer in the Palm Springs Valley can get hot! One of the ways I like to stay cool is to jump in the pool. And although there are plenty of places to do so in our very own Rancho Mirage (including our fabulous resorts: The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage, Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa, The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa, and Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa), sometimes I like to branch out—especially when you link the words “pool” with “PARTY!”

With that in mind, I’ll be joining thousands of pool party sun- and heat-worshippers for three-day events in both June and August at the fourth annual Splash House 2016! Taking place in Palm Springs on June 10-12 and August 12-14, the affair will treat guests to poolside fun and music from noon to sundown all day Saturday and Sunday, and awesome parties at the Palm Springs Air Museum on Friday and Saturday nights. (All, I might add, barely a 15-minute drive from those wonderful resorts in Rancho Mirage!)

Renowned local and visiting DJs will spin the days away with live performances by established and upcoming artists interspersed. In the past, my old pal Moby—among many others—have appeared, and this year brings in Gorgon City, Bondax, MK, Snakehips, and Jai Wolf, all in a lively and intimate resort setting. Free shuttles link the two venues so you don’t have to miss a thing.

Friday and Saturday night parties at the Air Museum were a huge hit last summer, and will be repeated again this year, with more dancing, live music, and food and drinks all set against the backdrop of the amazing collection of the museum’s vintage aircraft. These are some seriously fun parties!

For obvious reasons, this is a 21+ event with two-day pool party tickets starting at $95 and Air Museum passes starting at $30. Swim, sun, dance, and frolic the weekend away at another awesome Palm Springs Valley event! www.splashhouse.com
