Things are really heating up with the 2013 Kraft Nabisco Championship LPGA Golf Tournament, which is being played in Rancho Mirage at the Mission Hills Country Club on April 1st – April 7th. One of my very favorite events of the year is also one of the bigger to-dos in the entire Palm Springs Valley, bringing in thousands of women’s golf fans from around the world, not to mention the upwards of 20,000 ladies who storm the desert for the annual Dinah Shore weekend (www.thedinah.com).
KNC has just announced that nine of the world’s top amateur and college players—led by the world’s top-ranked amateur, 16-year-old Lydia Ko of New Zealand, and including 14-year-old Georgia Hall of the U.K. and 16-year-old Alison Lee of Valencia, California—have been invited to compete this year. I am so proud of these precious teens for their amazing accomplishments and for the opportunity they have been given to play against their golf heroes in the first major golf championship of the year.
Tickets are now on sale and include some great discounts for online pre-purchase. The tournament’s April 1st opening is no joke and will be here before you know it.
