The good news is that this year’s respective lineups for the twin weekends of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (April 11-13 and April 18-20), and the single Stagecoach California’s Country Music Festival (April 25-27) are all out of this world. The bad news is that the weekend passes are sold out—actually, have been for months.
But the best news of all—if you’re a Coachella Valley resident, that is—is that you will soon get the opportunity to purchase specially reserved passes online for these melodic extravaganzas taking place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. So, if you live anywhere from Palm Springs to Mecca (proof of residency will be required and strictly enforced), get ready. Coachella Weekend One resident passes go on sale Friday, April 4, at 10:00 a.m. through Thursday, April 10 (while supplies last). Coachella Weekend Two resident passes go on sale Friday, April 11, at 10:00 a.m. through Thursday, April 17 (while supplies last). Stagecoach resident passes go on sale Friday, April 18, at 10:00 a.m. through Thursday, April 24 (while supplies last). Passes are $375 for Coachella, $249 for Stagecoach, and may be picked up from the box office at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
I’m happy to say that I long ago secured my personal passes to see personal favorites the likes of Bastille, HAIM, Lorde, The Petshop Boys, Lana Del Rey, Arcade Fire, Calvin Harris, and Pharrell Williams at Coachella…and Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Crystal Gayle, and Rancho Mirage’s own Shelby Lynne at Stagecoach. But it’s not too late for you! On your online marks, get set, go!
