Dolphin Politics in Shark Bay
January 14, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
The bottlenose dolphins in Shark Bay, Western Australia, live in the most complex non-human society known. Dr. Richard Connor, who has been described as “the Jane Goodall of dolphins” will describe over 30 years of dolphin discoveries and ‘politics’ from this remarkable marine habitat, which boasts the largest seagrass beds in the world. He will describe an exciting future of dolphin research in Shark Bay, The Dolphin Decade, driven by new technology, which promises to reveal the secrets of dolphin intelligence in the wild. This program is presented in partnership with The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens
