After starting out as a big band singer, Day’s first film, Romance on the High Seas, launched a twenty-year motion picture acting career that saw her ultimately become one of the biggest film stars of the 1960s. Although she continued to find success in music and television, and became known for her incredible work in promoting animal welfare throughout her life, Day’s final feature film role was in the 1968 romantic comedy With Six You Get Eggroll. Two widowed people fall in love and marry, unprepared for the hostile reactions of their children.
