Plan Ahead! Restaurant Week in the Palm Springs Valley

Since the early days of the Palm Springs Valley, visitors and residents have enjoyed dining out in our beautiful desert oasis. Over the years the variety of restaurants has multiplied, and we now have on offer a worldwide selection of amazing cuisines. As the “high season” of our resort towns starts to fade, those of us who live in the area—as well as those who are visiting the communities of Greater Palm Springs in early June—will be treated to a gastronomic indulgence…the Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week, taking place from May 31 – June 16, 2013,

In the six short years since its inception, Restaurant Week has grown from 30 venues clustered in Palm Springs to more than 100 distributed throughout the valley, and expanded into two full weeks of dining fun. Participating eateries offer three courses at either $26 or $38. These discounted prices give diners the opportunity to try new places, or to go back to their favorites. And for those who like food/wine pairing dinners (and in one case, food/tequila pairings!), be sure to check out the “Restaurant Week Uncorked,” which takes place on Wednesday and Thursday May 29 and 30.

Some of my favorite Rancho Mirage restaurants are participating this year, including:

  • Acqua Pazza $26
  • Babe’s Bar-B-Que & Brewhouse $26
  • buEmber at Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa $38
  • Catalan $38
  • Crab Pot Rancho Mirage $26
  • Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse $38
  • Las Casuelas Nuevas $26
  • Pinzimini at Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa $38
  • Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion $38
  • Shame On The Moon $38
  • Wally’s Desert Turtle $38

Check out the website for the complete list, and don’t forget to make reservations as this event is one of the most popular times to dine out all year! Enjoy.
