Season opener offers fans a great golf experience
The ANA Inspiration brings the LPGA Tour to Rancho Mirage for golf’s first 2019 major tournament. The world’s best women golfers tee it up April 1 – 7 for the annual event on the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.
Golf fans won’t want to miss a minute of the fierce competition for the $2 million purse and coveted Dinah Shore Trophy, the winner’s famous jump into Poppie’s Pond or the awarding of the coveted Champion’s white robe.
Defending champion Pernilla Lindberg headlines a list of past champions returning to Mission Hills Country Club. The Swede made history last year by capturing her first major championship in dramatic fashion with a 30-foot birdie putt after a grueling eight-hole play-off. She will be joined by the world’s top three players, Ariya Jutanugarn, Sung Hyun Park and Minjee Lee.
