Refresh Your Home with Plummers Furniture
I’m not the best at keeping my own New Year’s resolutions, but over the years I’ve made it my goal to help as many of my clients and friends achieve one of theirs: to freshen up their home with new furniture and furnishings. One of my favorite places to start in the Palm Springs Valley is to head over to Plummers on Dinah Shore Drive in Rancho Mirage.
General manager Jasen Theisen—who, because of his furniture and management background, was recruited to open the store in 2009—has assembled a crack team of in-house designers and sales staff to assist even the most indecisive shopper find exactly what he or she is looking for. This 40,000-square-foot space is packed to the rafters with items that fit the desert lifestyle very well, with an emphasis on Scandinavian design with midcentury modern influences. In business as Scandinavian Design (and now also Plummers and Dania, with 37 total stores in seven states), the company has been providing customers with quality furniture made primarily in Scandinavia and the United States for 40 years.
Jasen was a huge help as I worked with my clients Glenn and Brett to furnish their beautiful new Palm Springs haven, including items for three bedrooms, a den, the dining room, and living room, and enough pillows, lamps, occasional tables, and home accents to make the house a home. They even carry outdoor furniture. Plummers also offers one of the largest selections of Ekornes sofas, loveseats, sectionals, and chairs and ottomans from Norway. Very popular—and ultra comfy—Ekornes furniture comes in a variety of fabrics, seven wood finishes, four grades of leather, and a kaleidoscope of great colors.
So if one of your New Year’s resolutions is to change it up and change it out with some new looks for 2013, call your interior designer, your best friend, or one of the capable in-house design professionals at Plummers and let’s go shopping!
