Splashtopia Omni Rancho Las Palmas

As a happy year-round resident of Rancho Mirage, I’m no stranger to the seasonal changes of the beautiful Palm Springs Valley. Spring and fall…winter and summer…I love them all. And even in the hottest of the hot summer months, I—and adventurous tourists from around the U.S. and throughout the world—come to visit our dazzling desert for rest, relaxation, and recreation.

Keeping a wide range of summer vacationing family members entertained can sometimes be a special challenge, but thankfully, the resorts in my hometown have plenty of programs to keep kids—and adults—of all ages more than pleasantly occupied. One in particular caters to summer sun- and fun-lovers with its exclusive guests-only water park catering to everybody from bitty-babies, tiny tots, tweens and teens, to their parents, friends, and family. Splashtopia at the gracious Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa offers those staying on property the unique opportunity to slip and slide and rest and ride the tides of its many wet, fun features spreading over more than two acres. Float the day away on an inner-tube as you meander the 425-foot lazy river. Compete with your pal for the biggest splash as you slip down one of the twin 100-foot water slides. Luxuriate in the cliff-side Jacuzzi. Or frolic with the tykes in the water-play zone before building a castle on the tranquil, shaded sandy baby beach. And should you really want to swim, you’re only steps away from the oversized family swimming pool.

Of course, every Rancho Mirage resort worth its salt has fab poolside food and beverages readily available, and Splashtopia’s resident restaurant, Splash Grill, is no exception. Soft drinks, sandwiches, and snacks; fresh fruit, burgers, and fries—along with a fully stocked bar for the 21+ crowd—will keep everyone happy and hydrated while splish-spashing around Splashtopia.
