A Delicious Deal
As California inches back to normal, Taste of Summer returns to Rancho Mirage starting today, July 15 through August 15, 2021. Sponsored by the City of Rancho Mirage, the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce, SoCal Gas Co., and KESQ News Channel 3., residents enjoy fantastic deals while helping our local restaurants and charities.
Purchase a $10 wristband to take advantage of incredible dining specials all over town for an entire month: July 15 – August 15. Online wristband orders can be picked up from the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce any Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Might want to give them a call before heading to their offices at (760) 568-9351.
Deals of the summer
There are a number of new restaurants in the mix this year with a number of tasty offerings to please any palate.
Acqua California Bistro
Quench a desert thirst with a $5 featured cocktail (normally $7.99) with the purchase of any item from the new Pazza Super Shareables menu available from 4 p.m. Monday – Friday and from 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
You can choose from three of Acqua’s favorite creations: Blood Orange Margarita, Watermelon Delight, or the Raspberry Lemon Drop.
Babe’s Bar-B-Que & Brewhouse
This year save on Dinner for Two for $60 (not including tip and tax) This regularly priced $69 value includes cornbread skillet, two half rack dinners (with two sides each), plus fresh baked pie. What’s not to love?
Ben & Jerry’s at The River
Nothing says summer like an ice cream treat. Just $10 will get you a fantastic ice cream package that includes, The Sizzling Summer Sundae, a cold bottle of water, and a vintage Ben & Jerry’s souvenir postcard.
Brandini Toffee is enjoyed by chocolate-lovers and toffee aficionados around the world and is the first toffee company to receive the coveted Gold sofi Award, the “specialty outstanding food innovation” award that honors creativity and great taste. For just $5 you can get a delicious toffee ice cream bar to help you beat the desert heat.
Burgers and Beer
Take a $5 bill over to Burgers and Beer while wearing your Taste of Summer wristband. You can get tasty mozzarella balls, a lime margarita, or chocolate cake. Take $15 and get all three!
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit
This year’s delicious deal is the Pit Boss Special: 12 piece wings for $12.99. Pick up some Pit Smoked Wings with choice of flavor and choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing.
Dringk Eatery & Bar
Any gourmet pizza or fish and chips order is $10. Also take advantage of the $5 classic margarita deal.
Grazing Palm Springs
Experience charcuterie your way with boxes and boards that are given individual attention to detail. Your Taste of Summer wristband gives you a 10% discount on 8 x 8, 10 x 10, and 15 x 10 Palm Leaf Platters. Please note these require 72 hours to order, but you’re going to love it.
Haus of Poke
The Taste of Summer specials include 2 spicy tuna hand rolls and a regular tea or 2 crab meat handrolls and a regular tea for $10. Or select 1 Spam Musubi, a regular tea for $5. You can also buy one and get one free of a tea or smoothie of equal price. Please note that boba is not included in teas.
While the recipe for the Krispy Kreme original glazed donut is said to be locked away in the company vault at the Winston-Salem plant, thankfully they have enough insight to crank them out by the thousands in Rancho Mirage. Enjoy the classic delectable during Taste of Summer. Be sure to get your milk or coffee ready because you can take advantage of a buy-one/get one free deal on a dozen glazed donuts.
Las Casuelas Nuevas
Las Casuelas Nuevas is a local culinary institution and a staple of Restaurant Row that has stood the test of time serving great Mexican food in the Coachella Valley for over 40 years. Pick up a wristband to get one queso dip per table with purchase of at least two entrees. And don’t miss out on the $7 house margaritas!
Maracas Mexican Cantina & Grill
Wear your wristband and $5 will get you a small margarita with the purchase of any food item. Also take advantage of $15 small margaritas whenever you purchase a one-item combination entrée.
Norma’s Italian Kitchen
This family-owned eatery uses high quality ingredients to create traditional recipes. During Taste of Summer, enjoy $7 pepperoni or cheese flatbread, fried mozzarella and zucchini stick platter (3 of each) for $6, Chardonnay or Chianti for $5 and the tiramisu for $5.
Purchase any entrée and your wristband gets you one free appetizer. Select items such as calamari, Buffalo wings, Uptown skins, or fried green tomatoes.
Buy any one of their gourmet-filled cupcakes or 2 oz. of assorted cookies or date bars and get another free!
Pinzimini at Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa
There are deals from beginning to end at Pinzimini. Start with the calamari ($8), then enjoy a margherita pizza for $10 or spaghetti and Pinzimini meatball for $20. Finish off your meal with a crimson apple tart ($8) and don’t forget the Caliente Margarita for $9 or a bottle of domestic beer for $4.
Shame on the Moon
The menu here is eclectic and has evolved over the years to a collection of freshly prepared dishes that customers have come to love including pastas, steaks, fresh fish, veal, pork, duck and even homemade meatloaf. Place your order and during the Taste of Summer, enjoy 10% off the table ticket (excludes alcohol & Summer 3-course menu).
Shabu Shabu Zen
Wear your wristband for the $5 off special of selected “Masu” sake. Purchase Shabu Shabu/Sukiyaki and another $5 will get you wasabi guacamole with wonton chips, chicken “Shio koji Karaage”( Japanese fried chicken), the original sake cocktail “Sakura,” or Japanese-style coffee jelly.
Wear your wristband when you order breakfast, lunch or dinner and get 10% off your meal. Select from delectables such as mango stuffed Belgian waffles, Chinook King Salmon and spinach omelet, chilled cucumber soup, Maine lobster waffle sandwich, veal and porcini cannelloni, duck paté du chef, and more.
The Slice – N.Y. Style Pizzeria Ristorante
