The Show at Agua Caliente Hosts Peter Frampton

It should surprise no one that Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spas state-of-the-art performance venue The Show—a 76-million-dollar theatre that seats more than 2000 concert-goers—is known for attracting world-renowned, first class talent, whether they be making a stop off Highway 10 in Rancho Mirage while traveling between gigs in Arizona and Los Angeles, or coming specifically to the Palm Springs Valley to regale desert audiences. But now and then comes a superstar of sufficient wattage as to light up the sky with excitement just by the sheer mention of his or her name. Such was the case a few months ago when it was announced that Peter Frampton would be performing at The Show on Friday, September 19, at 9:00 p.m.

The Grammy Award-winning Frampton, 64, is the British-born rocker whose 1976 album “Frampton Comes Alive!” was his international breakthrough, selling more than six million units in the United States alone, and yielding the hit singles “Babe, I Love Your Way” and “Show Me the Way.” Other colossal chart-toppers include “Do You Feel Like We Do” and “I’m in You.”

While it’s a fact that there remain no seats either in the main center orchestra or in the 12 boxes of The Show, there is still availability in the loge (side and back orchestra) as well as in the mezzanine and balcony. Tickets are priced at $50, $60, and $70, and can be purchased by visiting And because there’s not a bad seat in this house—none of them is more than 125 feet from the stage—this event, at this price, is definitely a steal. Diana and I will both be there for the big night. Do you feel like we do?
