Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa’s state-of-the-art performance venue known as The Show—the 76-million dollar theatre that seats more than 2000 concert-goers (with none of them more than 125 feet from the stage)—is kicking off the Palm Springs Valley’s post-Memorial Day, summer concert season with none other than acclaimed comedy queen Kathy Griffin, who will be performing for two nights only.
On Friday, June 6, the Emmy and Grammy Award winner will take to the boards at 9:00 p.m.; on Saturday, June 7, she will regale her grateful audience at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $45, $55, and $75, and are still available at www.hotwatercasino.com/TheShow. While Griffin is no stranger to desert appearances, every time she returns to our valley, she sells out. So if you’ve never had the opportunity to see this genius comedian at work in Rancho Mirage, don’t miss her this time around.
The 12 weeks following Griffin’s gig will see a bevy of brilliant concerts and events grace the stage at The Show. On June 14, there’s the Art Laboe Summer Love Jam III, followed by Gladiator Challenge MMA on July 19. Replay America: The Ultimate 80’s Festival hits the valley come July 26, with The Go-Go’s, Patty Smyth of Scandal, Martha Davis & The Motels, Cutting Crew, and Naked Eye Featuring Pete Byrne sharing the bill. Boston comes to town on August 1, and August 29 sees The Show host the Gipsy Kings.
Remember: On those hot summer nights, what could be better than chilling out to cool sights and sounds inside a world-class auditorium?
