It’s a well-known fact that visitors to the Palm Springs Valley savvy enough to choose to check in to one of Rancho Mirage’s four exclusive resorts are privy to amenities and services second to none. So much so that I’ve actually often felt more than a little green with envy at all the things hotel guests can indulge in while they’re here in the desert.

I’m therefore very happy to report that I’m green with envy no more thanks to The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort and Spa unveiling its revamped The Club program on November 1. For an annual fee (there are multiple levels from which to choose), Rancho Mirage residents who become members (yes, The Club is strictly available to those who call Rancho Mirage home, and proof of residency is required) will earn privileges such as preferred status for activities, significant discounts, and even complimentary stays at the resort.

Whether one wants to play rounds of golf at either of the Westin’s two world-class courses (the Pete Dye or the Gary Player), make like Novak Djokovic on the courts at The Westin Tennis Club, luxuriate under the healing hands of professional therapists at The Spa at Westin Mission Hills, enjoy special treatment at signature restaurant Pinzimini, or even just lounge by the pool and take in some rays, membership, as they say, does have its rewards.
